Scotland - Dunkeld to St Andrews

Aristocrats from the region around Dunkeld used heraldic carvings on their gravestones. On the left you see the 3 stars of the Murray family who were granted Earldom of Atholl in 1629 then elevated to Dukes in 1703. On the right you see a soldier's initials and 1689 carved into this monument assumed to have been done during the Battle of Dunkeld.
